Here’s a fun article from ZME Science touting human evolution. Unfortunately for evolutionists, the findings run counter to evolutionary theory and are “bizarre.” But if we view the evidence from a biblical perspective, the findings make sense and there is no problem.

Firstly, the headline states, “Our unique lineage: Human evolution has run in complete reverse from other vertebrates.” And the subtext states: “New study challenges traditional views on human evolution with “bizarre” findings.” Okay, so what is going on here? It sure sounds like evolutionary theory isn’t working out so well.

The authors of this study claim that competition tends to halt speciation in other vertebrates once a habitat is filled. But in the human lineage- Homo sapiens- an increase in competition spurs new species. This was unexpected.

Evolutionists are fond of claiming that successful predictions are the sign of a good theory, while failed predictions refute bad theories. Thus, this “unusual trend” should serve as a refutation of evolution. Sadly, refutations don’t have much effect on evolutionary theory, and I’d suggest that’s because evolution isn’t a real scientific theory. It’s too elastic. I’d describe it as pseudoscience because it can survive with numerous failed predictions. None of these researchers are denying evolution due to the research. Instead, they’re altering their theory to make it fit the evidence.

Alternatively, I’d suggest that the evidence better fits the creation model, and I’ll explain that further in a moment.

It’s important to note that these researchers are blurring their terms, using the words ‘human,’ ‘hominin’ and ‘Homo Sapiens’ to describe both humans and non-humans. Interestingly, they never use the term ‘ape.’ And I’d suggest this is intentional as evolutionists believe we’re related to apes, and blurring the line is helpful for indoctrinating the public. They’re committed evolutionists and believe we evolved from a common ancestor about 6 million years ago, and this study serves to further that belief, even if the findings are bizarre.

To make their case the researchers point to about 20 known hominin species and “many more” unknown species. The list is filled with intimidating names, including Australopithecus sediba (ape), Australopithecus afaransis (ape), Australopithecus anamensis (ape), Paranthropus (ape), Homo erectus (fully human), Denisovans (fully human), Neanderthals (fully human) and Homo heidelbergensis (fully human), to name but a few.

Next they simply accept that all of them are related, then group them together as humans, concluding that modern humans lived at the same time as other human species. So the problem with their study is that they wrongly group apes with humans and refer to them as different species of humans.

On the contrary, creationists believe all humans are a single species, and all apes are unrelated to humans. Once we distinguish ape from human, the study makes more sense because, in reality, we don’t have many human species living at the same time and competing against one another.

People may look different based on color, race, body size or shape, but they are still fully human, as are neanderthals and Denisovans. We have all descended from the same human ancestors- namely Adam and Eve and Noah’s family. Once we understand this, then the study’s bizarre conclusions go away because the human race has never contained more than one species.

Therefore, since we have never shared this planet with another species of humans, there’s nothing unusual to point to. The authors only think there’s something astounding, bizarre, unconventional, unparalleled or unusual because they believe in evolution. But if we accept that God created man in his image not that long ago, and that animals don’t evolve into other animals, then the problem doesn’t exist. It only exists if one believes in evolution.

The more we understand evolution, the less viable it is.
