What Does 500-Million-Years of Evolution Look Like?

If evolution is real, then there should be sufficient evidence to substantiate such a theory. However, if organisms don’t evolve, then there should be enough evidence to falsify evolution.

In this article from DiscoverMagainze.com, researchers claim they’ve found a 500-million-year-old fossil related to living tunicates. So what’s a tunicate? Tunicates are common marine organisms found in oceans all over the world. They’re soft, tube-like animals that grow on seafloors and other surfaces, including the hulls of ships and other marine animals, and many are very colorful.

But where did tunicates come from? If they evolved, what did they evolve from, and how long have they been around? Well, according to researchers, the fossil they found represents the first ancestor of modern tunicates, and it looks just like modern tunicates!

That’s right. After 500 million years, tunicates still look like tunicates. There has been no evolution after all that time. Yet evolutionists want you to believe evolution is a real theory and happens all the time.

The fossilized tunicate is represented in the Cambrian Explosion, a period of evolutionary history that confounds evolutionists. Most of all the major animal groups during this period, which supposedly began about 538 million years ago, are represented, fully formed, with no evidence of evolutionary history.

Despite the non-evolution of tunicates, the study author, Karma Nanglu, said, “It’s so rare to find not just a tunicate fossil, but one that provides a unique and unparalleled view into the early evolutionary origins of this enigmatic group.” Nanglu went on to say, “they are super important and often have an interesting evolutionary story to tell once you delve into them.”

This is the evolutionary spin. Even after 500 million years of no evolution, that constitutes “an interesting evolutionary story”. Indeed! The evolutionary story consists of nothing more than spin and speculation. In fact, the author goes on to admit, “the fossil record has remained largely silent with regards to tunicate origins and macroevolution.”

The good news is that there’s a valid alternative to evolution, and the evidence points to God as the designer and creator of everything, including life. The Bible gives us the correct history of the universe, revealing that God created animals to reproduce after their kind (Genesis 1:20-25), and this is exactly what we observe.
