Debate: Faith vs. Atheism

Looking forward to a debate being held tomorrow evening (10/2/2012) at Messiah College hosted by Dr. Ravi Zacharias. He’ll be the keynote speaker for the event, a debate between Dinesh D’Souza and Dan Barker on Faith vs. Atheism.

Dr. Ravi Zacharias is a Christian apologist who focuses on skeptics, critical thinkers and evangelism. He’s written a number of influential books worth mentioning, including, “Jesus Among Other Gods: The Absolute Claims of the Christian Message”, and “The End of Reason: A Response to the New Atheists”.

Ravi’s parents were converted to Christianity by missionaries in India, but he was an atheist until age 17, when he tried to commit suicide. A local Christian worker brought him a Bible while in the hospital, and when his mother read him John 14, Ravi committed his life to Christ.

I plan on attending the event and provide a summary and critique.
